Wake Up!

Great weekend...good Monday... I'd actually do it all over again. Here's what I accomplished-

Saw movie Red Eye friday night with jonathan and melissa. I'm a Rachel McAdams fan. Liked it. Saturday slept till noon! Dabbled in online job applications.. minor shopping.. short run. Saw Glory Road saturday night with Monica, Jessica, Janean, and her spilled popcorn. GOOD Movie. Dinner afterwards at Half-Shell, yummy. MJ & Matt (aka "wingman") joined in too. Church at Highpoint Sunday was really good. Chris' series Never the Same Again had me holler a few AMEN'S from the back row, almost. Sunday lunch, table for 12, and I like Huey's again! An updated "healthy" menu (grilled tuna steak burger) & eating with buddies made me happy. Sunday rain made for a no-guilt afternoon nap. I watched a little Miss America Sunday pm Julie :) Tonight I had a fun sushi dinner with Helen and Lindsey at Pacific Rim. Guilty pleasure Monday night- I watch The Bachelor.

So I guess movies, tv, and lots of eating makes me happy! ..OR its just sharing time with friends I really like that makes ordinary things into something special.

My next "to do"-> I need a new alarm clock. A good one. Always have had a little trouble getting up in the morning. Now I'm immune to my cell phone's 20 rings and my newest alarm clock is failing me. Anyone have a high-decibel cd alarm clock or other suggestions?.. I'm in Need!

Hey Han-
Didn't know if you know...but I check your blog out all the time. I have had fun catching up on your life! I guess its not fair that its a one way street....maybe I will join the blogger craze sooner or later. I just had to comment about the alarm clock statement! Remember freshmen year at Lipscomb? It took about 4 clocks combined to wake us both up! I have a husband now that does it for me (and soon a baby! I dread that those days of sleeping in will long be forgotten)
love you girl!
Your little red-headed roomie Laurie

Laurie!! I love finding you again through "blogging". So funny- I was just thinking of adding a few sleeping pictures and found the best one from our freshman year. On your top bunk we're both passed out, dangling off, lights full on, I think it was finals time. Another you took while I'm drooling on my desk (surprise), I just wish I had one of your bed lamp and sizzling hair as we both slept through that night. Somehow we survived..!!
Congratulations you're about to become a MOM!! Wow. And yes yes, you must start a blog too. I'll hug & spin you around little roomie. Keep me updated! Sooo good to hear from you!!

You could always try going to bed earlier?

Dear Han: I was going to say, "find a good man and let him kiss you awake every morning", but Laurie sorta beat me to it! :-)
I think you are gonna hafta program your "internal alarm clock" for an "external alarm" to wake you! You have always been a night-owl, but perhaps if you MADE yourself go to bed at 10:30 every night and set the alarm for when you have to get up (6:30 a.m.?), I think your body would eventually adjust to an 8 hour academia (sp.?) rhythm. But, you will have to be consistent for it to work! Other than that suggestion....GET A MAN! :-) Love you Sunshine! Mama Lou

Go to bed early? Why would you do that?

If you can't get a man, which we are working on for you, then maybe you should get a big dog. They always have to go out early in the morning and they'll wake you up with a big sloppy kiss. Okay-I know you don't really like dogs, but it is just an idea! Maybe you could move into a hotel like Paris Hilton and get a "Wake-up call" every morning.

I did not watch Miss A this year. It seems at our house if it not on Disney than we do not see it. Except for my private time with the housewives on Sun. and Travis on Monday nights. (come one where do they get these girls--they have to be making their paretns "PROUD") Travis is cute but I would still go for ole Firestone myself. Have a great week! If you want something to do this week-end we are having Jacob's Narnia Birthday on Sat. Mom and Dad are coming. Come Join us! Love, Julie

Hannah Leigh! You are the hardest person in THE WORLD to wake up! At least no one is there putting peanut butter in your hand and tickling your nose. NOT that MY husband would have ever done anything like that to you or Rachel... eh hem! :) You probably need flashing lights and a siren to tell you the truth. I love you girl! And, yes, I will be in town this weekend! Are you coming in???
