Hannah... here and there

Stuff

My car is back after 4 loooong weeks, and thanks to VW (finally) it was returned with a brand new engine! I'd been arguing & negotiating with these people for a month after my tensioner/belt thing broke (which had just been replaced), which in turn damaged the engine. It took me awhile to dig up a don't-mess-with-Hannah attitude...thanks to some tips from a few guy friends & my Dad! Now that its all fixed up and new I guess you'll be seeing me in my 90,000 mi '99 Passat for sometime now.

I've been way fun this weekend... house work all the way. Never knew I had so much stuff! I'm determined to move just the minimal, so its been many trips to the dumpster and GoodWill this weekend. Someone asked me if I was giving/throwing things away just so I could shop for new things... The thought has crossed my mind! But for real, its makes me think about how Jesus told the rich young ruler that if he wants treasures in Heaven he needs to go sell all his possessions, give to the poor, and then come follow Him. How easy it is to value the wrong things in life. Not on purpose, but when I look at my checkbook and how I spend my time- it really does point to my true values & priorities. And it doesn't always match up with what I want to do. So its nice to realize I really don't need this, or this, or this... For "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God". Good reminder for me this weekend!

Monday & Tuesday I'm attending a SpeechPath conference for continuing ed. Nice change up for the beginning of the week. Last, here's a cute quick pic of the engaged Afroman & C. Aguilara - friends of hoochie hannah! Hope you had a good weekend too.

Good for you to pull out the "don't mess with Hannah" attitude. Sometimes that is what it takes to get things done. I am glad that your friend and your dad encouraged you to let the attitude shine through. Some things are just worth fighting for!

Glad to hear the house is coming together nicely so you can get it on the market. What are you looking most forward to in STL?

Great post. I feel that we all have too much stuff. But, that doesn't mean I don't like presents!

Good to see you this weekend. We are very impressed that you are working so hard on moving.
