St.Jude Memphis Marathon
The best cheerleaders!!Awesome friends- Bev,
Melissa, MaryJane, Monica.
These girls brought the par-tay and cheered us on, in addition to 6,000 other runners. Even stunted a cheerleading pyramid for us at mile 12!
And here's the Full Marathon champions, MaryDevan and John...
Can you believe MaryD ran all 26.2 miles with her hands up in the air? Wonder what she's drinking, I mean singing? This gurrl is my hero (for many reasons) and she's unbelievable!! so proud of these two... They did awesome!
I enjoyed the half-marathon and ran 13.1 miles laid-back-style. The weather told me to take it easy, so for the most part I cruised. 2 shoe adjustments, 2 port-a-potty stops (faster than lightening, eugh!), picture with Elivis at 12, short break with SantaClause at 9, finished me at 2:16:12. Not bad for a party! Ten mintues more than my last one, but oh well. I've gotta say that running back out on the street when I was done, and cheering for Devan & John was such the highlight! Seeing them at mile 22/24/26 brought back memories of me running last year -and well, I was sooo glad to be the cheerleader this time and let them be the runners!
Up & Coming: Germantown Half Marathon in March, and St.Louis Marathon in April- I'm looking for more running buddies...especially if you run with hands up, eyes closed! See what good running music can do? Thanks friends! Now tomorrow for work.. I can't decide which new running shirt to wear. (anything goes with scrub pants and a clinical coat.) Its between the St.Jude tshirt, a pink shirt that says "Running IS my happy hour", or a white-black shirt that says "Kick Assphault". I'm so torn!

You left one marathon off the list: Chicago in October, 2006.
Jay I added Chicago '06 to my christmas list on your blog. Hope you're a good Santa!
Hannah-
I am so glad that you did it and that you had a blast. It sounds like you had a lot of fun, and that your friends were there to cheer you on. What music did you decide to go with?
I posted about WICKED.... let me know what you think!
Take care of you!

Good job Hannah! I can totally see you making those pit stops for Elvis and Santa! So funny! :) I'll cheer you on in St. Louis! You know... Nate has been talking about training for a marathon??!! He's a good running partner.. maybe you'll get lucky and he won't slap you on the butt when you get slow like he does to me! hehe! I'm so proud of you! LOVE YOU! ~Becky
The cheerleaders ROCKED! We couldn't have done it without you. You know, my arms were sore after the race, wonder if it was all that praisin, not drinkin, though they did pass out beer and moon pies around mile 17. YACKEM!!! And to think, people actually ate that stuff. Hannah, one of these days we will have to marathon together. Just give this guurrllll some time to recover!
