a breath of fresh air
aaahhhhh..... thats what Fall season is to me. A taste of autumn weather the past 2 days has done me good. Its my absolute favorite season! Something about change in the air gets me excited and thinking. Fresh wind, fresh perspective. I tend to re-read John Piper and John Eldrige books in the fall, 2 of my favorite Christian authors. Maybe because school starts this time of year & I feel I should be reading and learning too! Here's what I chewed on tonight from Piper's book Future Grace-
"..don't dream your most exciting dreams about accomplishments and relationships that perish, fretting over what life fails to give you (marriage, wealth, health, fame). Instead, savor the wonder that the Owner and Ruler of the Universe loves you, and has destined you for the enjoyment of His glory, and is working infallibly to bring you to His eternal kingdom."

Awesome thought and great way to start my Thursday...thanks for sharing!!! Isn't this weather great!?! It's in the 60's here in the morning...a very nice change from the Tennessee summer heat and humidities!
Hannah - I love fall too! It is still so humid down south, even with temps right now in the mid-70s it feels like 90.

Piper is one of my favorite authors too. Our ministry translates some of his books into Portuguese down here in Brazil.
