its a beautiful Day

"But I'd be in big trouble if Karma was going to finally be my judge. I'd be in deep s---. It doesn't excuse my mistakes, but I'm holding out for Grace. I'm holding out that Jesus took my sins onto the Cross, because I know who I am, and I hope I don't have to depend on my own religiosity." - U2's Bono in an interview with Michka Assayas

Since it is finally a beautiful day here, why not share some good words from Bono? This morning I visited The Journey church in St. Louis city, it was awesome. Met alot of friendly people, the teaching minister was incredible, his Gospel message even more incredible, overall a major encouragement to start the week! After that I dropped in on Becky's open house showing this afternooon for a good catch up! (*thanks Sue, cute house!) Called Matt to congratulate him on the Bar- to find out he's taking it this week. oops. Devan gets back from her honeymoon in St. John's this week, Jane started her new job. I've got lots buddies to catch up with I realize!

Sundays are good for that, however the weather is perfect for a Forrest Park run right now and I've got my mp3 reloaded. Also downloaded a sermon series from the Journey, hopefully to carry me through 7 miles. Did I mention Adam has me marathon minded again? The little bro, who never used to run with me in the past, has just discovered the joy of running. So much that he kicks his sisters butt when we're running together. Its actually quite fun, but he's already been up to 8 miles, and I'm poking aroud at 4-5. I've got till December/January to get to 20... hoping that I can hold up that far. Last full marathon was Dec '04, also before I hit the trees snowskiing. I've been able to complete 2 half's since then- hoping I can push through to do on more full. We'll see... always looking for a running partner around here. And even though my sweet Dad offers, need someone for more than a few blocks! .... Have a great week ahead blog friends!

More power to you! I am not the marathon type! I'm good on my stair-stepper and then 2 miles on the tredmill! :) I was just talking to my friend Jen who runs marathons though, and she's trying to get me to do a half, which I probably could do if I tried really hard! We'll see! It was good to catch up with you too! Hope you're having a good week!!
