weekend roundup

What up. Going on my 4th week in StL here and still each Sunday afternoon I think, "sweet, I get to stick around and don't have to drive back?" Lovin it.

This last weekend JennPhillips, one of my best college buddies, came in from Nashville with her man Mike to visit and see the Cards. I think St. Louis treated them very well, but I'm not so sure about that game on Sunday. At least the stadium is nice! I pretended like I was on vacation too, and dined out with them all weekend. Friday it was Blue Water Grill and Cyriano's for dessert, Saturday night Faratto's and Ted Drews, Sunday bruch at Companion's in Clayton... I so full!

It was also a treat for Heather Cooper to be in town & join us Sat night. Cooper is my alltime favorite Mizzou lady! I got to know her through my brother, then she moved to Nashville, ended up going to the same church as Jenn. I could end up talking with these 2 fine ladies all evening long.. definately two of the best! Its a blessing to have several solid, strong, single girlfriends who fully live life with some joy & confidence, and don't pity themselves for being single. I can't stand that. Luckily I find myself on the same page with these friends- like many of my Memphis girls- And man its good to be in good company!

To top that off, my other sister Sarah Gentry and I took a jog around Forrest Park this afternoon. Its been nice spring weather around here, hopefully will stay quite awhile. I missed a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Cardinals game to attend an all day speech-path conference...woohoo, aren't I fun? The job is good and getting a little smoother each week. Got the scope down my boss's nose 2/3 times. Not so bad! Except I'm still no big fan of going to bed before 10. See I've already broken my rule now. Have a great week ahead bloggers ;)
