Un-Screwed!

Graduation day from my orthopaedic doctor! I saw Dr. Weiss on friday, my shoulder guy, and I'm officially discharged. (thats for you matt may). Just three weeks ago he removed my shoulder plate and most of my screws. See how they worked? I've got a new shoulder again and i love it! Smooth moves and no more kinks, pops, catches. I'm looking forward to swimming again, real push-ups, maybe swinging a golf club, and practicing my back-walkover. Goal time- christmas. Keep you posted.


Now with some extra titanium hardware around.. maybe I'll finally finish hanging those shelves in my kitchen. maybe. I was pleased they were returned all clean & shiny! December 18th will be one year since skiier-Han verses the Trees. I didn't really 'win', but I don't count my experience a loss in any way. Many lessons learned, which I'll post more on later. My second life has been great so far!

I'm often asked if I'll go skiing again. (Mom and Dad stop reading here please.) I cannot wait to get back to skiing!! The spray of fresh powder.. speed of wind against your face.. gorgeous mountain scenery.. playing in the canyons. I already know I will cry! March is the plan- waiting till Ad is on spring break. Any takers? ..YES, I'll be cautious.

One funny memory from last year-- As I was being wheeled away for shoulder surgery, my brother felt it necessary to holler down the hall, "Hey Han- have fun getting screwed! " .. Well Ad, its been fun.
