I would be pleased to argue that I have some of the best, coolest grandparents in the world. Afterall, their names are MamaLou and DaddyLaddie, living all the way down in Houston Texas. Can't you tell by their names they're just ready to give you a hug? MamaLou gives warm big hugs, DaddyLaddie just sqeezes you to death. And especially if you're "a gal"; then its "hey sugar" along with your deadly squeeze. Its super sweet! My Dad went to Houston this weekend to visit, I had the pleasure of working and couldn't go. I sure do miss them in Texas! Today happens to be DaddyLaddie's 78th birthday.... so party wishes out to you Daddy Laddie! I Love You!

... My
Dad's blog has a few recent ones of the Texas crew. Anyone else have awesome grandparents and awesome names? Grandparents are the best!

My only living grandparent is granny D B' bumpin. She celebrated her 92nd b-day in August. Granny D is hilarious and often tells us that she "didn't plan to live this long", "is good for nothing" and "ain't worth killin." All of this said, of course in her good ole southern accent! My mom's mom was an amazing woman as well...I sure do miss her!
btw, i miss my hannah too...i'm gonna try and catch you on the phone this week!!!
My GM and Pappy are the best and sweet as sugar. My grandmother still fixes my Pappy's plate each day while he sits in his chair just grinning. They are a hoot! I love visiting and hearing them fuss and then get tickled. :)
Happy Birthday Daddie Laddie! I've always loved your grandparents. We just call mine Pilly Milly. :) You know her well enough to know why! I love her just the same though!
One set of my grandparents I call Mom and Bop. I was the oldest grandchild on that side and couldn't say Pop, so he got stuck with Bop -- and it's totally fitting for him!
You know I how much I love my Mama Moore and Papa Moore! Amen to AWESOME grandparents!
My GiGi and Papa were the best. I miss them terribly...
Thanks for reminding me of them today and bringing a smile to my face!
Yea... I LOVE Granny-D-B-Bumpin', AND Pilly Milly, AND Mama & Papa Moore!... just like GM and Pappy, and GiGi and Papa I'm sure! Thanks for sharing...Grandparents do always bring a smile to my face :)
When I was a young tike, I used to call my grandfather, De De De, because I couldn't pronounce granddaddy. Whenever my grandparents would write me a birthday card, they would sign it, Granny and DDD.
